I want to go experience the culture though.

Cruising For Travel Values?
Author: admin
For people looking for a particular travel value, taking a cruise just might be the answer.
It seems several cruise lines have beefed up their fleets and the additional ships need filling. Among purveyors in the travel industry, cruise bookings seem to be a particular value at this time. And if cruising still seems expensive, remember that it includes your travel, hotel and meals. Plus you will avoid costly add-ons like entertainment, car rentals, car insurance and parking, airport transfers and, to some extent, tipping. Cruises are all included way to travel and relax. Try a Cruise.
Cruises in the Caribbean are very popular now because of the amazing values offered on most kinds of trip including high-end luxury. With more ships in the market, greater opportunities are available to travelers. Just now, it seems that the traveler can get huge value for his or her cruising dollar. Since cruises are all-inclusive packages, for one set price you are getting the experience of a cruise and different ports, accommodations, at least three meals a day plus snacks, a range of shipboard activities, nightly entertainment, and fitness facilities. It’s hard to beat the value in that. Programs vary by ship and cruise line, so consult a travel agent or the Internet to find the best fit for your needs and budget. There are many cruise purveyors on the internet who advertise discount cruises, some up too 70 and 75%.
These unbelievable savings stem from the practice that cruises are booked far in advance and the cruise lines know months ahead of sailing which ships are under booked. Ships are not like airplanes, they are not government subsidized or bailed out of financial difficulties. They are independently own and there are few last minute bookings for people who have to travel. Cruises are a luxury item and unsold vacancies cut deeply into profits.
There is also a website that will compare similar cruises from up to 120 different offers to find the cheapest priced cruise to your intended destination. But price isn’t value and just getting a good price is not equivalent to value. How do you know if you have booked a great deal or a floating motel 6?
Of course you must research cruise lines before you book or travel. Do listen to the travel tips of friends and acquaintances but do more. Go to “chat” lines and ask what kind of experiences people have had with “abc” cruise lines. Ask what cruises people have enjoyed and what cruise lines really delivered on their promises. People love to recount their travel tales and, if you listen to enough, you will have a fair idea of which cruise line to seek out and which should be avoided at all cost.
Finally, once you have chosen a cruise see if the travel to the ship’s departure site is included. Usually these costs are included and outlined in the cruise line brochure, but when it is extra, travel to the port can rival the cost of the cruise itself. If you have chosen a cruise to the Caribbean that leaves from Miami, Florida and you live in Oregon, the travel cost to Florida can be a major addition that turns your budget cruise into a travel budget breaker.

Caribbean Cruises for all the Family
Author: admin
Over 2 million travelers prefer to go on Caribbean cruises every year through the various liners offering these services. The Caribbean is a place of tropical climate that has some really wonderful beaches, great food, and many excellent tourist locations spread throughout the chain of islands that make up one of the most visited tourist spots on the planet. It is very easy to plan Caribbean family cruises because of the internet where you can go to the website of the cruise liner to find out all the details. There are many tour operators working all over the Caribbean and they provide really fast service even if you just leave an indication on their website that you are interested.
It is important you plan Caribbean family cruises carefully and with professional help because tourists will tend to overbook the liners during vacation season. Sometimes it happens that liners are completely booked several months in advance so if you are in the mood then act quickly to reserve your place. You can make your booking either through the internet or by calling the tour operators.
Of course, the most important decision here is to decide which cruise liner to opt for. The good news is that high level of competition among liners means a wider range of options and prices for you when you are planning Caribbean family cruises. It is very important that you keep all your family needs clear when choosing a liner because not all families are at the same stage.
You might have an infant, a toddler, or a few adolescents, all of whom will have different requirements and expectations and you should make sure that no one has their vacation spoiled for them through inadequate planning on part of the adults.
There options, like the Disney Cruise, that are ideal for children and teenagers alike and maybe even some adults. There are different liners offering different family themes and you must explore all your choices before you book Caribbean family cruises. Like catering to different tastes, the numerous liners are also careful to offer their services in different prices brackets to suit all kinds of travelers. It is all up to you because there are plenty of options available whether you are going on a Caribbean family cruise or any other type of cruise. So shop around on the Internet or speak to tour operators and your relatives, friends, and colleagues who have visited the Caribbean by going on a cruise and weigh your options to make the best possible choice for yourself and your family.

Fly To Hawaii
Author: admin
A Hawaiian vacation really is a dream come true. There are endless beaches, spectacular sunsets and exotic images everywhere you look. For tourists and nature lovers alike, Hawaii is heaven on earth. If you have the time and the money to spend, you can fly in and take your own little taste of heaven.
Hawaii has a land area of nearly 6,500 square miles, however it’s actually made up of a series of volcanic islands. In total, there are 124 islets that make up Hawaii, stretching in a 1,500-mile crescent from Cure Island. The eight major islands at the eastern end of the chain are, from west to east, Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Maui, and the big island of Hawaii.
Located in the central region of the Pacific Ocean, just below the tropic of cancer, Hawaii is actually the 50th of the United States. It is famous for its beaches, and the challenging waves that lure surfers from around the world. The lush landscape is equally magnificent, with exceptional dormant and active volcanoes. While the climate is considered humid by U.S. mainland standards, the northeast trade winds pass along the great reservoir to create delightfully comfortable conditions. The temperatures average from 72 F (22 C) in the coolest month to 78 F (26 C) in the warmest, with extremes from 57 F (14 C) to 88 F (31 C).
Because Hawaii is an island, driving there is not an option. Traveling by boat can be a pricey alternative, and ferry service is not available. That leaves air travel as the most commons means of transport to sunny, sensational Hawaii. Fortunately, there are frequent and budget-friendly flights to Hawaii.
Tourism is a huge industry in Hawaii, and the steady stream of paradise-bound travelers has prompted the sun-drenched state to develop its own airline. This, combined with the many travel accommodations offered by friendly and eager-to-please locals, provides a selection of vacation packages catering to both the adventurous and the elite travelers.
Aloha Airlines’ most popular tour package is the Seven-Day Island Pass. This airline fare pass provides visitors with the opportunity for unlimited travel over a seven-day period. It’s a dream for island-hoppers, allowing travel without boundaries between all of the Hawaiian islands. Aloha Island Pass holders can book any number of reservations for travel on selected flights to all of the destinations served by Aloha Airlines. Passes may be purchased directly at any Aloha Airlines outlet, or through travel agents. Everyone is eligible to purchase Island Passes, however they are non-transferable and non-refundable.
There are frequent flights between all of the major islands, and most airlines charge similar fares. Air travel is typically relaxed in Hawaii, so it’s not necessary to book in advance to get a good deal. Just arrive at the airport, purchase a ticket and you’re on your way. Arranging air travel in Hawaii is so simple; you can even pick up your airline tickets at local 7-Eleven stores or at ATM machines. Of course, purchasing tickets from a travel agent or online merchant is always an option.
Vacations should be about having fun and enjoying solitude and peace of mind. There is no place for work or worry on your holiday. Take the time to make seamless travel arrangements, pack your hula shirts, and fly to Hawaii for an island adventure you’ll never forget.

Where can I find the lowest last minute air fare rates?

I need to fly out from Ontario, Ca. to Houston, Tx. this weekend (Bush Intl.) from thursday evening to tuesday evening but all of the airfares are in the $450.00s and up range. Is there anywhere where I can find lower rates?

Name the Islands
ok that's one
The Island of Hispaniola is divided between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. St. Maartents/Sainte Martin is Dutch/French.
Taking into account weather (hurricanes, rain, heat) mainly.
I have found March, April, May and June the best months to travel in the Caribbean. October and November are also good months. We have traveled all over the Caribbean during these months many many times. The only time we got caught with a hurricane was once in October. We just changed our destination and were able to travel.
We always purchase travel insurance no matter when we travel in the Caribbean.
After April 15th -June 15 th is considered shoulder season, the prices drop. (my favorite time to travel) June 15th-Dec 15th is low season and you can find bargains. Like right now.
Enjoy and happy travels)
