Do fat people have to step on a scale? Is there a seat at the check in counter to sit in to see if they spill over? I’m curious how they go about doing this and to whom

They don’t necessarily determine it, the overweight person should kind of know that they’re not going to fit. The basic rule of thumb is can you comfortably sit in the front seat of your car, or any regular size dining room set chair without much spillover. The airlines are not going to force a person to buy two seats, but if its the holidays and the flight is oversold the overweight person can get bumped for not reserving an extra seat. This was a major fight about 10 years ago with SWA and the obese. An obese woman was removed from an oversold flight, she sued, and the airline won the lawsuit because they are in the business of selling space and she took up twice as much space as the average person. Most airlines have a rule-if an obese person buys two seats (and usually the second seat is significantly cheaper-around $50) and the flight isn’t full they refund the money. But if they don’t buy the second seat and the flight is full, they will be removed if a person can’t safely and comfortable sit in the seat next to them. I had this happen the day before Thanksgiving a few years ago. The man was so large that his shoulders covered two complete seats (as well as the rest of him) and was probably in the 400-500lbs range, We were oversold and no one could sit in the other seat he was occupying, so he was removed. He threw a huge tantrum, but did he really think he was going to fit in one seat or that the flight was going to have open seats the day before the holiday? I think he just didn’t want to pay the extra $$. And think about it from the standpoint of the passenger that had the seat next to him. She paid for her seat, and someone else is sitting in it! She shouldn’t have to get off; its not her fault he can’t fit. Anyway, to sum it up, usually the people who don’t fit pretty much know, and if they don’t- well, I would say that if your doctor has given you the title of "morbidly obese" buy another seat.

Honduras: Sand & Sea

Author: admin

Home to nearly 500 miles of idyllic Caribbean beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, Honduras offers some of the world's finest sand and sea. Underwater discoveries abound for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts in the Bay Islands of Roatan, Utila and Guanaja. A tropical paradise of swaying palms and white sand, these secluded islands are surrounded by the spectacular Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. Adventure-seekers can swim with dolphins and whale sharks here year-round, or learn to windsurf in the destination's tranquil coves. For a more laid-back approach, visitors can enjoy activities like kayaking, glass bottom boat rides, sailing or simply lounge on the pristine shoreline. A holiday to the Caribbean offers you the chance to visit some of the most spectacular beaches in the world. Virtually every island of the Caribbean will have beaches that amaze; with crystal clear blue seas, sugar white sand & palm trees.

To help you choose where to go and more importantly what beach to choose, we have compiled a list of the top 10 beaches in the Caribbean.

1/ Palm Beach (Aruba) – Idyllic beach setting with superb white sand.

2/ Grand Anse Beach (Grenada) – 3km beach with sugar-white sand, lots of space & shallow waters.

3/ Johnson’s Point (Antigua) – Made up of secluded coves; these white soft sand beaches are a must for snorkeling & swimming

4/ Pink Sand Beach ( Bahamas) – One of the world’s most photographed beaches, often voted world’s best by travel publications. 5km’s of salmon pink coloured sand, due to red plankton that has mixed with the fine white sand.

5/ Crane Beach (Barbados) – Often voted as Barbados’ most beautiful beach. Imposing cliffs, a natural coral reef and soft white sands make for a perfect beach.

6/ Negril Beach (Jamaica) – Laid back atmosphere and Jamaica’s prettiest beach. A lot quieter than Seven Mile beach.

7/ Englishman’s Bay (Tobago) – A sheltered beach with fine white sand, crystal waters & surrounded by a palm jungle.

8/ Grace Bay (Turks & Caicos) – Part of a national marine park, this beach has fine white sand, calm turquoise waters and is protected by a barrier reef.

9/ Trunk Bay (US Virgin Islands) – A beautiful beach with crystal clear waters, considered one of the best places for snorkeling in the Caribbean.

10/ Shoal Bay (Anguilla) – Put Angullia on the tourism map; sugar-white sand, crystal clear blue waters & coral reefs.
