It is in Baclaran area but you can ask the hotel's "pedicab" service to tour you around for shopping and you'll be safe. Everything is cheap here, I live in Leyte at a small town with a girlfriend in a modern house $60 per month, cable tv $7 per month. I am surviving on my SS check of $600.
