several things will depend on the best fare
where you are going to and from can make a price difference
on the west coast SouthWest airlines is great for low weekend fares- east west east I fly with Jet Blue — the islands use Delta
American to eurpoa. going to a particular city use the airline of that country or city.

You’ll get the best prices at Priceline and Hotwire, assuming that the airlines have plenty of unsold capacity to offer so you can benefit from these discount sites. You have to be flexible about your departure time and airline so you can save the most money. There’s also Site 59 if you’re looking for a package with hotel or car. Using Site 59 you can choose airline and departure time from the options that are available.
