Gullivers Sports Travel has been named Best Sports Specialist 2007 by South African Airways UK.
South African Airways UK’s annual awards honour its top performing trade partners for their support. Gullivers was recognised and celebrated for the high volume of flights it requires from the airline for the many tours and incentive travel it organises to South Africa every year.
In recent years, Gullivers has seen South Africa become its number one touring destination for clubs and schools, for all types of sports, and as an official licensed operator for the British & Irish Lions Tour to South Africa 2009, the company estimates that it will take 3,000 rugby supporters over next year as well.
John Hall, Chairman of Gullivers Sports Travel said: “Gullivers is delighted to be awarded the title of Best Sports Specialist by South African Airways UK – it comes from years of arranging travel to one of the most captivating destinations in the world. We first took clients to South Africa in 1980 - our inaugural Lions tour – just 100 people! We’ve now taken thousands and awards like these show how much the company has moved forward.â€Â
Gullivers is well known for its involvement in major sporting events such as Rugby World Cups and Ashes Tours. Although this is an important part of their business, equally important are the smaller events and playing tours and they pride ourselves on their service and attention to detail whatever the scale of the project.
Gullivers Incentives is a specialist department organising corporate conferences and incentive trips overseas. Their operations have included chartering cruise liners in the Caribbean, flower arrangers convention in South Africa, a Welsh speaking convention to Patagonia in Argentina, zoologists to Zimbabwe and Radio Hams to Ohio for their annual “Hamvention”. They’re happy to take on any challenge that you can throw at them!

Super Exciting World Travel Experiences
Author: admin
If you are thinking about taking a trip in the near future, there are many areas that you should consider. There are places in North America with lots of history and sights, but there are so many other places abroad that can be much more interesting and historically significant. There are many places in the world that you may never think of to travel on your vacation, but they may be just the relaxing getaway you have been in search of. We have put together some ideas for world travel to help you decide where you want to travel on your next vacation.
If you like the beach scene, there are many beaches to sample here in the states. Cities such as Miami, Dayton, Jacksonville, Malibu, and many cities in Hawaii offer great beaches for sunning and swimming. If you prefer leaving the country, you could always try South America. Rio de Janeiro has very nice beaches, however, the bathing suits are somewhat skimpy if existent at all. The Bahamas and other Caribbean Islands have wonderful beaches that beckon American tourists on a daily basis. Their beaches promise us palm trees and sandy shores as well as warm breezes and days of laziness and relaxation.
If you are a history buff, you may find that Pompeii is the place that tops your desired list of foreign locales. This location in Italy is the site of the great eruption of Mt Vesuvius some 2000 years ago. The city was completely destroyed, yet perfectly preserved by the lava that filled the city streets in an instant after the eruption. Seeing the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum (also destroyed in the same manner) is like stepping back in time to a place that time forgot. The history that lies there is more than we as Americans can ever experience in our home country. Also, while in Italy, you would have to stop by Rome and see the rich history of the Roman civilization and the emperors that once ruled the known world.
If you live for adventure, then and African Safari is probably tops on your list of things to do before you die. An African safari offers excitement and adventure, especially for those of us used to only seeing those types of animals on television. There are tour groups to take you on the safari and explain the animals and surroundings to the group. On a safari, you can see such animals as lions, elephants, monkeys and zebra in their natural habitat. Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania are just a few of the places that offer an authentic African Safari.
If you are more into winter sports such as snow skiing, then a trip to the mountains of Europe may be right up your alley. The advancement in safety over the last several years have made snow skiing safer and more enjoyable for professionals and novices alike. Downhill skiing may seem too advanced for some, and if so, cross country skiing may be more the thing for you. There are resorts and parks all over the world that offer trails for cross country skiers of all ages.
With all of these ideas for world travel, you are sure to find something to tempt your thoughts for your next vacation.

Mexico Travel Destination
Author: admin
With abounding culture, amazing food and beautiful scenery, itâs no wonder Mexico is a top vacation destination to countless tourists each year. The enormous growth of tourism is reflected in the wide range of Mexico hotels available; from large international chains to small boutique establishments. Mexico enjoys a cultural blend that is entirely unique. The natural exquisiteness of Mexico speaks of the diversity and resilience of a country blossoming with culture, geographic wonders and age-old experience.
There are several hidden treasure just waiting to be discovered. Ancient Aztec pyramids, authentic foods and fantastic shopping. Whether you decide to visit the beautiful beaches famous around the world, historical cities from the time of the Spanish colony and archeological sites of cultures or just hang out in one of the modern citiesâ¦Mexico can accommodate. No wonder Mexico travel is one of those things that many people dream about.
Here are three of the most famous destinations in Mexico:
Cancun
Cancun is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico and the world. Its terrific setting, shaped like an island, its year-round mild climate, and its gorgeous, warm, sandy white beaches washed by the Caribbean Sea are perfect for water sports. Scuba diving and snorkeling are ideal here because of the warm crystal-blue Caribbean waters which are home to beautiful coral and active sea life. It is also known for its active nightlife. Downtown Cancun is your hot spot, with numerous world-famous bars and nightclubs that drive the night to the beat of everything from salsa and cumbia to club mixes and world sounds
Acapulco
Acapulco is one of the best places when it comes to Mexico travel. Generally, Acapulco offers a very good nightlife. Acapulco is not just famous for its explosive nightlife, but also for its beaches, unlimited watersports, supreme hotels, gourmet restaurants and the stunning physical beauty of Acapulco Bay. With a character as a haven for the rich and famous, Acapulco has everything a traveler could hope for.
Tulum
Tulum is located 80 miles from Cancun in the Yucatan Peninsula. The last city constructed by the Mayan civilization, was built on the cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The city thrived mainly from the 15th to the 16th century.  It was originally called Zama which means ‘Dawn’ and is related to its location, which lies on the extreme eastern side of the Yucatan Peninsula, directly facing the sunrise.”    The beauty and the majesty of the Mayan city with the Caribbean as the backdrop was awe inspiring. Waves boom in - against the rocks - the breeze blowing across the water felt better than any imagined. Tulum, Mexico, is everything wonderful about the Mexican Caribbean. It’s getting discovered, but the sugar white beaches are still pleasantly quiet, the ocean is as clear.
Whether you travel Mexico and pack your trip packed of activities, or merely spend your time relaxing on the beach, there is truly an option for all Mexico Vacations.

I am traveling in June, and we plan to spend most of our time at Disney, but we are going to Universal for one day. I am trying to get an idea of cost for transportation between these. Thanks for your responses!
I am pretty sure Mears Shuttles only go between the Hotels and the Airport. Your looking about a 40 dollar cab ride betwen the hotel and park.

How to Stretch Your Travel Dollar
Author: admin
Even if you are on a budget, traveling is possible. Vacationing when your funds are limited can be a challenge, but there still many locations that you can visit. You do not have to sacrifice quality while on your vacation. Here are some tips to stretch your travel dollar:
Tip #1: Schedule your vacation during the off-season.
When is the off-season? That depends on your destination. For a ski resort, you can get a cheaper price if you travel there during the summer, while a beach house in New Jersey is usually cheaper during the winter months. Even tropical locations have off-seasons, which usually occur during rainy times of the year. When you travel during the off-season, you may have to deal with less than perfect weather, but that does not affect indoor activities like visiting museums and going to the spa, and you may end up saving hundreds of dollars.
Tip #2: Fly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Even if you do not have flexibility with your month of travel, making it possible to travel during the off-season, try to have a little flexibility with your specific dates. Flights are always more expensive on weekends, because that is when most people want to travel. If you can switch your dates, you can save $50 to $100 on most tickets – and sometimes even more, depending on the airline.
Tip #3: Skip the car rental and purchase a bus pass.
In many cities and even on islands, there are very reliable public transportation systems, and most hotels are on bus routes. Some hotels even provide complementary buses to the most popular locations or are within walking distance to sites you may want to see. When planning your vacation, do a little research to avoid a rental car if possible. At the very least, pay a car service to take you from the airport to your hotel instead of renting a car for an entire week or two, which can cost hundreds of dollars.
Tip #4: Take advantage of age discounts.
Did you know that in many locations, kids get in free? Some airlines even provide children with free flights! There are many options available to save your family money, and you can find restaurants – especially buffets – that are extremely inexpensive and in some cases, free for children. Along with children, senior citizens can get discounts in many travel areas. Restaurants are not the only places that give seniors a price break.
Tip #5: Travel as a group.
If you are travelling with a large group, you can get group discounts on everything from hotel rooms to amusement park tickets to flights. If you organize a trip through a travel agency, you might even be able to travel for free or at a very low price. If you put in the time to plan everything, you can find a great price for your next vacation.
Tip #6: Participate in a home trading program.
Do you live in a place that is a desirable vacation spot or have a second vacation home? If you are willing to let other travelers stay in you home, they may let you stay in theirs. Trade your cabin in the mountains for a beach house or your New York City penthouse for an island property in the Caribbean. Even if you do not live in a popular location, you may be surprised at the amount of people interested in trading homes for a week.
Tip #7: Plan a “stay-cationâ€Â.
Who says you have to go somewhere to enjoy vacation time? Take some time off from work and enjoy local attractions. You do not have to travel or pay for a hotel, so you can save a lot of money. You can still enjoy near-by museums and restaurants that you would typically write off as too pricey and relaxing time at beaches or spas near your home. To make it seem special, hire a house cleaning service for the week so you will not have to worry about cleaning your home. If you are really on a budget, you can even forgo expensive activities and instead rent some movies, borrow some books from the library, or enjoy a dip in the local pool.
The point is that you do not have to spend a fortune to have a great vacation. With just a few hundred dollars, you can really enjoy some time off. The key is planning. Make sure you know exactly where every dollar is going and resist the urge to splurge on expensive meals, souvenirs, and other things you do not need. Just because you are on a budget does not mean that you and your family cannot enjoy traveling together, you just have to get a little creative so you can stretch your dollars.
